Shade every modern country an empire once held — or name the empire from its shadow
In Shade the Empire, each round scores one point per country you correctly shaded, minus one for every country you shaded that the empire never held. A round can’t go below zero.
“Held land in” is generous: a single fort, island or leased port counts. Hong Kong puts China in the British Empire; the Channel Islands put the United Kingdom in Nazi Germany. Tributaries and vassal states that were never directly ruled don’t count.
Microstates and small island dependencies — San Marino, Malta, Bermuda, Fiji — are greyed out and never scored either way.
